Christmas Meal 2005

Well it started off here at the Standing Order for a pre-meal bevvy, followed by a stagger down to POSH around 8pm.

With over 40 of us the atmosphere was already good and most were well on the way to being sozzled. Food was excellent as was the company. More wine and food followed by the awards. I've got a few photos, but send in all your good ones, so I can add them here.

Yet again an absolutely excellent night.

BTW does anybody know what temperature it is in Hurghada?

Gil, Louise & Lucy

Is this A group or B group, I'm confused!

A startled Phil has just listened in on the girls conversation and is thinking of taking a Cold shower!

Gareth & Lynnzee

More of the gang

I have no idea what Rich is describing to Leanne, but she is smiling!

Awards

Novice of The Year

Well it wasnt really hard to figure who was up for Novice of the year. Lucy has acheived a stunning record in her first year. Not content with getting Ocean & Sports Diver, she went onto Dive Leader and again onto the Instructor Foundation course.

In January she will be assisting as an Instructor on the Lanzarote trip. Quite

stunning considering she was just a student on the same trip, only one year ago.

TO's Tankard

A shocked Lynzee receiving the TO's Tankard

Despite starting off with a few reservations, she's persevered to become a competent Ocean diver, well used to the rigours the Solent can throw at her. Part-way through Sport, I have no doubt that she will be doing some of our more advanced dives within a very short time.

Diver of The Year

Lucy shows a high level of decorum by having a bitch-slapping session with Claire

The Diver of the Year Award

Fix! Fix! Only cause I came second :-(

Still who better to be behind (oo err missis) then Lucy who was a very popular choice as the Diver of the Year 2005. Not sure if its the volume level which just makes us know she's in the room, but whatever it is she has enhanced the club with her enthusiasm. Two awards in the same night - not bad at all.

And there's more ....................

Naturally it was Lucy that pulled (the raffle ticket) and Charlotte became the owner of a new Frogman Lenser LED torch. Ideal for when she staggered home later.
